RE: Market Conditions
As you know, we are experiencing rapid changes in the value of the Canadian dollar versus US, Japanese and other foreign currencies. As with many other actions that we are taking to manage through these turbulent times, we must take action to protect our profitability and ask you to do the same with your customers.
Effective immediately, quotes received from your Stampede Canada relationship manager will be valid within the month that they are issued only. We urge you to quote your customers accordingly, assuring them that you are doing everything possible to avoid cost increases. In these unprecedented times, we expect that you and your customers will understand this change and support it.
Stampede continues to work tirelessly with our suppliers to ensure that any cost increases are justifiable. We are also working hard at eliminating costs from the supply chain; which in turn will continue to position Stampede as your value added distributor. However, cost increases from our suppliers may occur at any time based on market conditions.
Any exception to the monthly expiry of quotes must be supported in writing from a Stampede supplier. Stampede will work hard with our suppliers to secure pricing guarantees for quotes. If pricing is not explicitly guaranteed in writing the quote received from Stampede will expire at the end of the month it was issued. Your Stampede Canada relationship manager will contact you about re-issuing the quote for the new month.
